The PG Education: Transgender and Gender Nonconforming (TGNC) Identities in Theatre

This is a Virtual Only Event.

Are you a writer, actor, director, or other theatre artist interested in learning about how to support trans, nonbinary, and gender nonconforming identities in your work? This workshop is for you. Think of this like a "Trans 101" crash course — we'll cover definitions, pronouns, writing inclusive character descriptions, fostering safe casting and rehearsal environments, and more. You'll also have an opportunity to ask questions about supporting TGNC identities in a judgment-free zone.

Note: While this workshop is geared toward cisgender artists, TGNC artists are welcome to attend.

Topics to be covered: trans history and definitions, pronouns, writing inclusive character descriptions, casting, directing, marketing, fostering inclusive rehearsal spaces, advocacy, and more
