Leviathan Lab
Founded in 2009, Leviathan Lab is an award-winning not-for-profit creative studio whose mission is the advancement of Asian and Asian American (A/AA) performing artists and their work. Through the speaking of A/AA artists’ words, and the presentation of A/AA bodies, presence, and gestures on stage and film, Leviathan works to open spaces that promote social justice, bridge communities, and assert the power of art to change the world. We function as a lab where early-career and established A/AA artists can be courageous, experiment, and thrive as they create works that captivate the audiences we serve.
Ariel Estrada- Founder/Producing Artistic Director
Ariel Estrada is Webby Award-winning producer, actor, writer, and advocate for Asian American Pacific Islander performing artists and all performing artists of marginalized identity. As an actor, he has performed on television, film, commercials, digital media, and Off-, and Off-Off-Broadway. As a producer, Ariel is the Founder and Executive Artistic Director for Leviathan Lab, a nonprofit creative studio for Asian American performing artists. As an arts administrator, he is the Associate Director of the Theatre Program at Fordham University. He also serves on the boards of the Musical Theatre Factory, Latine Musical Theatre Lab, and the Episcopal Actors Guild; and serves on the Advisory Board of Houghton Hall Arts Community. His leadership has been recognized by artEquity, New York Foundation for the Arts, and Theatre Communications Group. As a grant writing consultant, he has won over $400K in grant funding for small NYC nonprofits of color. Ariel is also an Intimacy Choreographer specializing on intimacy needs in an educational setting, and received his training as part of the 2023 cohort of Theatrical Intimacy Education’s Educator Advocate Program under Laura Rikard. arielestrada.com | leviathanlab.org | LI: /arielestrada

Joshua Rose-Co-Artistic Director
Joshua has been involved in theatre from a very early age. Performing on stage occasionally as a child into college when he discovered the technical side of theatre. Falling in love with design in general and lighting in particular Joshua got his BFA in design from the University of Utah and his MFA in stage design from Southern Methodist University. After arriving in New York City Joshua has worked in theatre, dance, opera, concerts, events and architecture. His work has been seen from Hong Kong, to The Vatican, to Mexico City in venues from the Kennedy Center to China’s National Center for the Performing Arts, to Lincoln Center. Touring the world, the country and the five boroughs of New York City. Joshua has been a lighting designer, set designer, projection designer, stage manager, technical director, company manager, production manager, writer, director, student, teacher, audience member, basically he has almost done it all. Unless it involves sewing. He can’t sew. Joshua is excited to use his decades of experience in the many facets of the industry, to build a company that aims to build an industry that pushes for progress and continual improvement in all the ways we interact with each other, as colleagues, as collaborators, as artists, as humans.
Theatre Producers Of Color
Theatre Producers of Color (TPOC) supports the next generation of BIPOC producers by providing access to education, training, and mentorship. Our flagship educational initiative, Producing 101, introduces students to the fundamentals of commercial producing, connecting a network of BIPOC and White ally producers to a cohort of aspiring BIPOC producers.
Miranda Gohh-Founder
Named a “2022 Woman to Watch on Broadway” by the Broadway Women’s Fund, Miranda Gohh is a producer originally from Providence, RI. She is currently the Associate Producer of SUFFS by Shaina Taub, which opens on Broadway this spring, and the Investor Relations Manager at P3 Productions (HOW TO DANCE IN OHIO, GUN & POWDER). Previously, she was the Associate Producer of JUST FOR US by Alex Edelman at the Hudson Theatre, the Associate Producer of Davenport Theatrical Enterprises (A BEAUTIFUL NOISE: THE NEIL DIAMOND MUSICAL, HARMONY, THE GRISWOLDS' BROADWAY VACATION, JOY, THE TEN, THE UNTITLED MUSICAL ON THE LIFE OF HARRY BELAFONTE) and the Associate Producer at Stairwell Productions (WHAT THE CONSTITUTION MEANS TO ME, DANA H., IS THIS A ROOM). She also served as the Company Manager at New York City Center with Manhattan Theatre Club from 2019-2021 and the Producing Fellow from 2018-2019. Miranda has also worked with companies such as Arena Stage, The Playwrights Realm, Goodspeed Musicals, and Trinity Repertory Company. She is the Founder of Theatre Producers of Color (TPOC), a multifaceted collective of theatremakers joined together in support of the next generation of BIPOC producers by providing access to education, training, and mentorship, and a Co-Founder of The Industry Standard Group (TISG), the first BIPOC commercial theatre investment and producing organization. She is a graduate of the Commercial Theatre Institute and an alumna of Wesleyan University. Her credits include JUST FOR US, HERE LIES LOVE, KPOP, A BEAUTIFUL NOISE: THE NEIL DIAMOND MUSICAL, MACBETH starring Daniel Craig and Ruth Negga, IS THIS A ROOM, and DANA H. on Broadway and KINKY BOOTS and Obie Award winner CIRCLE JERK Off-Broadway.
Latine’ Musical Theatre Lab
The Latiné Musical Theatre Lab, LLC is a NYC-based organization with a national footprint that develops and advocates for new Latiné-written works of musical theatre. The Lab is a sponsored artist with The Producer Hub (The Tank LTD), a not-for-profit, tax-exempt, 501(c)3 organization serving the performing arts community.
Daniel Mesta-Literary Manager / Resident Dramaturg
Mexican-American director, actor and dramaturg Daniel Mesta has received regional and national recognitions from the John F. Kennedy Center, the Association for Theatre in Higher Education and Literary Managers and Dramaturgs of the Americas. He holds a BA in Theatre Arts Studies and Russian Studies from Brigham Young University, and is pursuing an MA in International Relations at the European University at St. Petersburg conducting research in cultural diplomacy and international performance. He currently works in Eastern Europe with the Center for International Theatre Development.
