Artists Teaching Artists: Piloting your Pilot 101

Join us for:

Piloting Your Pilot 101

We're in the midst of a golden age of television. 2021 brought 400+ scripted series written by thousands of writers, including many from new voices. Perhaps you have a great idea for a show you want to sell, or maybe you're yearning to be staffed. Whatever your goal, you'll need an original pilot to get you there. This workshop will cover generating TV ideas, the nuts and bolts of pilot writing, and how to market your finished pilot -- and yourself. Drama, comedy, dramedy, and web series writers of all levels are welcome.

Based in Los Angeles, Robin Fusco creates layered TV dramas populated by dynamic characters living in twisted worlds filled with moral ambiguity and doubt. She is a 2022 WIF Writers Circle Mentee and was a NYSCA Screenwriting Fellow, and her scripts have received numerous screenwriting awards. She's also a commissioned and published playwright whose work has been produced internationally. Formerly, Robin coached physicians from around the world in empathy, patient-centered care, and medical ethics. She draws on this expertise when creating characters, often women, who battle the darkness around and within. Robin received her MFA in screenwriting from Point Park University and is a proud member of the WGA Independent Writers Caucus and The Dramatists Guild.

$25 for the workshop to cover the costs of our artists time, and administrative costs.
