Topics to be Conversed:

• Who are you? What do you? What is your favorite swear word? 

• What are the big taboos in theatre? Why are they controversial?

• In a modern world, can anything still be considered taboo?

• What is the greatest taboo you've seen executed on the stage? How did it enhance the performance?

• What is the worst execution of a taboo you've seen onstage? Where did it go wrong? 

• Shock Value: does it help or hurt a performance?

• How do you prevent the use of taboos from becoming a form of voyeurism that exploits the actors? 

• What should a writer do when considering writing about a taboo? 

• How should an actor prepare for a role that addresses taboo subject matters? 

• How should shows market their taboo work to audiences that might be offended? 

This is our chance to talk with each other about topics that we as artists, creatives and humans need to have. The key is we talk to and with each other. There is no panel or special guest that is smarter on a topic. We are the collective smarter panel.
